Toshiba Android Tablet Coming In Spring 2011

Toshiba is showing us to their new shiny gadget in the CES 2011. You guess what, it’s another Android tablet that I thought it would be a little bit too crowded right now.


Well, they’ve just unveiled another tablet for the market that looks pretty simple and plan. It’s running Google Android 2.2 OS, but Toshiba said that their Android tablet will get Google’s newest OS (Honeycomb) when it’s been launched later in this Spring season.

As the matter of specification, Toshiba Android tablet has 10-inch screen that support 1280×800 and powered by NVIDIA Tegra processor. If Google Android HoneyComb OS proved to require dual core CPU and high resolution display, then Toshiba’s Android tablet is fully prepared for the optimum performance. Read more of this post

Toshiba slips out NB550D AMD Brazos-powered netbook

Toshiba Germany jumped the gun and exposed on its website the upcoming NB550D 10-inch netbook which is based on the same design as the NB520 model but makes use of AMD’s new Brazos platform and is powered by the C-50 (Ontario) APU boasting two Bobcat x86 cores and DX11 Radeon 6250 graphics.

Coming in three colors – Lime Green, Brown and Orange, the NB520 weights 1.32kg, and has a metallic finish, a 10.1-inch LED-backlit display, 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, LAN, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, a VGA webcam, a HDMI output, two Harman Kardon speakers, and a 6-cell battery enabling up to 9.5 hours of operation.

Toshiba will pre-load its first Fusion machine with Windows 7 Starter and release it in Q1 (2011).

 

Toshiba MK4001GRZB, the new “Pro” SSD from Toshiba

Toshiba has introduced today in Japan three new SSDs designed primarily from an enterprise usage with the MK4001GRZB Series. Available in 100, 200 and 400GB these 2.5” SAS SSDs are capable to sustain 90,0000 IOPS during read operations and 17,0000 IOPS while writing data at a sequential sustain reading speed of 510MB/s and a 230MB/s writing speed while only consuming 6.5W.

Toshiba’s 13.3-inch Portege R700 gets a pair of WiMAX models

Integrated 3G is so 2009. These days, your laptop just ain’t a mobile workhorse without a 4G module embedded under the hood, and Toshiba’s making sure it keeps with the times by launching a pair of WiMAX-capablePortégé R700 models. The 13.3-inch ultraportable is relaunching with an integrated DVD drive, WiMAX support, the latest Core 2010 CPUs, an ExpressCard slot, eSATA / USB combo port, 4GB of DDR3 memory, inbuilt webcam and a six-cell battery. The Portégé R700-S1332W in particular ships with a Core i7 CPU and 128GB SSD, while the Portégé R700-S1322W steps down to a Core i5 and a 320GB (7200RPM) hard drive. Both units are shipping now from Tosh’s preferred partners, with the high-end option going for $1,699 and the low(er)-end one selling for $1,349. It’s on you to activate a Clear plan, though.

Toshiba Introduces A New All-In-One Desktop PC

Another all-in-one desktop PC from Toshiba has just been introduced for the Japanese market. Dubbed as the Qosmio D710, this space-saving machine boasts a 21.5-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD display, a 2.53GHz Intel Core i5-460M processor, a 4GB RAM, a 1TB hard drive, a webcam, a Blu-ray drive, two TV tuners, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi, six USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI port and is pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium OS. The Toshiba Qosmio D710 is scheduled to hit stores later this month for unannounced price yet.

Toshiba Canvio 3.0: USB 3.0 External Hard Drive

Toshiba has updated their Canvio product line with new series of USB 3.0 hard drive. Dubbed as Toshiba Canvio 3.0, this external hard drive offering exceptional transfer speed on the USB 3.0 interface. There are three sizes made available, the 500GB, 750GB and 1TB, where each model comes pre-loaded with NTI BackupNow EZ software for easy data backup on Windows OS environment.

Aside from the software, Toshiba Canvio 3.0 also offering 256-bit data encryption, shock sensors and monitoring tools to keep the Canvio 3.0 protected and in good condition.

Toshiba Canvio 3.0 USB 3.0 External hard drive is available in various color choices, such as Green, Red, White, Silver and Blue. Canvio 3.0 has been priced at $119.99 (500GB), $129.99 (750GB), and $179.99 (1000GB).

Toshiba brings the Satellite C660 to Europe.

toshiba satellite c660This may not Toshiba most impressive laptop ever, but may satisfy basic users, looking for a good, but affordable laptop. Toshiba latest Satellite C660, comes in a wide selection of CPUs included Intel Core i3, Intel Pentium, Celeron, AMD Athlon II Dual Core or AMD V Series. Luckily the C660 support up to 8GB of RAM, and comes with a nice 15.6” LED Backlight LCD Screen with an acceptable 1366×768 resolution.

Toshiba’s AC100-114 Tegra 2-powered smartbook gets detailed

Smartbooks are still in a state of limbo right now due to many reasons but things are still expected to change, and spearheading that change could be Toshiba who has developed a 10.1-inch smartbook running Android 2.1 and equipped with Nvidia’s Tegra 2 T20 SoC (system-on-a-chip).

Named AC100-114, Toshiba’s smartbook measures 262.05 x 189.8 x 21 mm, weights 0.9kg, and, in addition to the Tegra chip, features a 10.1-inch (1024 x 600) LED-backlit display, 512MB of RAM, a 16GB SSD, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, 10/100 Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, a 2-in-1 card reader, D-Sub and HDMI outputs, and a 3-cell battery good for some 5 hours of operation.

The release schedule of the AC100-114 is yet unknown. Idem for the price tag.

Toshiba ships Core i7-equipped Satellite P505 gaming laptop, all 18.4-inches of it

Looking for the most gargantuan laptop money can buy? How’s about the biggest laptop that the least amount of money can buy? Toshiba Satellite Pro laptop-line up upgraded with 4 new models

Toshiba Europe unveiled four new Satellite Pro series laptop models: the Satellite Pro C650 /C650D (15.6″), L630 (13.3″) , L650/L650D (15.6″) and L670/670D (17.3″).

The new models are equipped with up-to-date features Intel Corei3/i5 CPU, AMD Athlon II Dual-Core CPU (models with “D” code), Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, pre-installed Windows 7 Professional, optional Blu-ray rewritable drive, HDMI port, Dolby Advanced Audio and such additional features as Toshiba Media Controller for content streaming, Touch Pad with Multitouch Control as well as 3D sensor to protect data stored on the HDD and prevent optical disk drive from unintentially opening while being carried.

Other specs include either Trubrite HD (1,366 x 768 pixel; 16:9) or HD+ (1,600 x 900 pixel; 16:9) LED-backlit display, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, 640 GB of HDD, Intel GMA HD and/or ATI Mobility Radeon HD graphics, USB 2.0 ports, eSATA / USB combo port, and Multi-Card Reader.

No word on pricing but they are planned to be launched in the Q2 of this year in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
