LG To Display The Worlds Largest Full HD LED 3D TV At CES 2011

In the next few weeks at CES 2011 (January 6th, 2011), you are going to see the demo of the world’s largest Full HD LED 3D TV from LG.

Known as LG LZ9700, this LED 3D TV has a massive size at 72-inch and amazing refresh rate at 400MHz. The LED 3D TV also featuring DLNA sharing, Media Link, USB ports, and Magic Motion remote control.

While the full information is yet to be released, but we can safely assume that LG is stuffing all of the latest technology into this puppy and it will be one of the breathtaking HDTV with groundbreaking pricing.

LG To Unleash A New Full HD Monitor

LG is about to unleash another Full HD monitor ‘W2246T’ for the Japanese market. This new 21.5-inch LED-backlight monitor delivers 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, 30,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 5ms response time and consumes just 24W during normal operation. It also comes with mini-DVI-D and dual D-Sub connectors. The LG W2246T will go on sale in Japan from mid-October for around 15,000 Yen (about $182).

LG announced this morning 2 new Smartphone in Korea running on Android with the LG-LU2300 available on LG Telecom and LG-SU950 on SK Telecom or also known as KU9500 on KT.
Running all a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, our 2 phones comes with a 3.5” WVG LCD, DivX support a 5MPix camera with AF, Dolby Mobile, DMB and a 1350mAh battery.

The LG-LU2300 comes with Android 1.6 (A free upgrade to Android 2.1 will be made available to the public this summer), a full slide keyboard, a 4 way navigation Keypad, 3GB of internal memory, support of MicroSD cards and includes many different application including dictionaries in several languages, Wikipedia, Traffic Info, Weather, Restaurant data base and so on.

Both LG-SU950 and KU9500 comes with Andrdoid 2.1, the same basic features as the LG-LU2300 but does not offer a slide QWERTY Keyboard.

LG Announces A New Clamshell Phone

LG Electronics has once again expanded its clamshell phone line-up with the announcement of the LG JoyPop KH3900 for the South Korean market. The handset is equipped with a 2.8-inch 240 x 400 display, a 2MP camera, a 1.3MP camera for video call, a 190MB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, WiFi and supports for FMC (Fixed Mobile Convergence) technology, which allows users to use the phone as a mobile and fixed line. The LG JoyPop KH3900 will be available in South Korea via KT mobile operator for unannounced price yet.

LG SU420 – world first DMB 2.0 phone

LG announced in Korea the launch of its first phone that supports DMB 2.0 technology. With codenamed the ‘Cafe Phone’, LG SU420 comes with a TV receiver that supports DMB 2.0 technology, which makes one of the most complex multimedia phones on the market.

DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) 2.0 is a technology that allows users to access Internet TV, access to e-commerce, and more. Returning to the phone, it comes with a touchscreen of 3.2 inches with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, a 3 megapixel camera, another 1.3MP camera for video calling, a microSD slot (with cards thas has a capacity of up to 16GB ), Bluetooth 2.1 and Wi-Fi.

LG SU420 supports DivX files and Dolby Mobile, which brings an improvement of quality music. The battery has a talk time of up to 250 minutes, and a stand-by time up to 220 hours. It is also equipped with a new generation of digital TV receiver with digital radio and video on demand (VoD). Unfortunately we have no details on release date in the U.S. or Europe, but we will return with details and also the price of the phone.

Behold the new BD560 and BD570 (With Wifi) from LG, and in order to avoid any confusion, yep we are talking about the two black stuff and not the sexy red stuff… Anyway, beside the addition of WiFi on the BD570, both model features the same specs with Network connectivity (cable), NetCast, YoutTube, Google’s Picassa, AccuWeather, Music information with gracenote.com, and the support of CD and MP3 CD. Finally LG added the support of HDMI 1.4 with 3D playback.

LG Mini HTML 5-ready phone launched, shipping this month

LG has today launched the mobile web-friendly Mini (model GD880), its first phone to be pre-loaded with the HTML 5-supporting (WebKit-based) Phantom browser. Also boasting Facebook and Twitter integration, the Mini features 7.2 Mbps HDSPA support, a 3.2-inch (480 x 854) touchscreen, a 5.0 megapixel camera, 100MB of built-in storage, a microSD card slot, GPS, 802.11 b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, a micro USB port, an FM radio, an accelerometer, and the Air Sync wireless syncronization technology.

“Our research shows that most people think current full touchscreen phones – especially smartphones – are too bulky, too clunky and too difficult to use,” said Dr. Skott Ahn, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “We developed LG Mini to deliver the smartphone-like features that people want in a beautiful and compact package that is also user-friendly.”

The LG Mini is set to begin shipping in Europe (and other regions) this month.
