Toshiba is showing us to their new shiny gadget in the CES 2011. You guess what, it’s another Android tablet that I thought it would be a little bit too crowded right now.

Well, they’ve just unveiled another tablet for the market that looks pretty simple and plan. It’s running Google Android 2.2 OS, but Toshiba said that their Android tablet will get Google’s newest OS (Honeycomb) when it’s been launched later in this Spring season.

As the matter of specification, Toshiba Android tablet has 10-inch screen that support 1280×800 and powered by NVIDIA Tegra processor. If Google Android HoneyComb OS proved to require dual core CPU and high resolution display, then Toshiba’s Android tablet is fully prepared for the optimum performance. Read more of this post

HP Unveils CES 2011 Notebook And Desktop Lineup

The CES website may tell you that the trade show doesn’t begin until the 6th of this month, but don’t tell that to Lenovo or HP. Both companies are offering up something new today, with Hewlett-Packard having the most lengthy list of announcements between the two. At least for today. Let’s dive on it!

First, HP’s Pavilion dm1 has been updated with an AMD Fusion APU that offers smooth 1080p multi-media playback, an 11.6″ HD BrightView display, a full-size keyboard, a battery good for up to 10.75 hours of life, up to 750GB of storage, an optional GPS module and an optional external Blu-ray player. It’ll go on sale in the U.S. on 1/9 for $449.99 and up.

AMD Reveals Radeon HD 6000M Series Of Notebook GPUs

It’s official. Finally. The AMD Fusion APU era has begun, and it couldn’t have possibly come at a better time. Intel has been able to capitalize in recent years, particularly with their Atom platform, due to having no real, shipping competition from AMD. But now, the war really begins. Today at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, AMD officially announced a new class of accelerated processor that combines more compute capabilities than any processor in the history of computing. That’s their wording to describe Fusion, a new range of Accelerated Processing Units.

This new Fusion core incorporates a multi-core x86 CPU and a DirectX 11-capable discrete-level GPU into a single die. It’s the best of both worlds, and it’s as close as we have come to seeing a CPU and GPU truly hold hands and live together in harmony on a single die. New generations of desktop, notebook and HD netbooks are now available based on AMD Fusion APUs, and we suspect that many computer makers will be making announcements in the coming days after Fusion-based machines going on sale.
